The staff at Rainbow Corner have completed a professional childcare qualification and have additional training in First Aid, Child Protection and Food Hygiene (Level 2). All staff have also recently received Early Years Autism Awareness Training. Each member of the team has been vetted by Social Services and undergone an enhanced Access NI check before working with the children and they all attend professional development courses regularly.

Alison Toole

Alison has a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Education with Qualified Teacher Status. Alison is a qualified teacher with 18 years’ experience working within the early years sector, both in education and community settings. Alison has a variety of experience including working as a primary school teacher, a SEN teacher and as an Early Years Development Worker. Alison joined Rainbow Corner as the leader in August 2021.

DEPUTY LEADER

Ruth Haugh

Ruth has a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies. Ruth has been working with children aged from 0 to 11 for 14 years. Ruth joined Rainbow Corner as deputy leader in August 2023. Ruth has experience working with children with SEN and she has recently completed a Level 3 qualification for Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCO).

PRE-SCHOOL & PLAYGROUP ASSISTANT

Jane Clynes

Jane has a QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People, Early Learning and Childcare. Jane has extensive experience working with children in early years settings. Jane joined Rainbow Corner more than 17 years ago initially as a pre-school assistant and she now works as both a pre-school and playgroup assistant.
